Well, I slept for about an hour.
I wrote, discovered some new music, and at about 6am I decided to roll my hair and watch New Years Eve, which I found surprisingly entertaining. Once again I will say Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry will make me watch anything they are in. I saw a new side to Michelle as an actress, there was something so pure about her character… and Halle, well she just gets better with time. Some will argue me on this, but I think Halle is brilliant.
I watched it once, then turned it on again, then fell asleep about 20 minutes into it, and woke up again before it was over.
While the trend of the “Paris Je Taime’s” knock offs can get a bit old, there was something a bit refreshing about this one. Perhaps it was the message, or my nostalgic ties to New Years Eve.
There was a line Hillary Swanks character said that really stuck with me, and it was…
“Stop wondering what if, and start embracing what will be.”
I like that notion.
Anywho, if you are into cheesy movies that make you feel good, I recommend you watch it. It really isn’t bad.
